"keepin' the faith"...since 1985

It's hard to believe that it's been (over) 25 years
since GetbacK band
ruled the rock and roll world!
OK, maybe not your world...
but a darn big chunk of ours!

There were a lot of talented musicians who joined
various editions of the GetbacK band
throughout the 80's and 90's,
as well as the other bands which preceded it
in the 60's and 70's.

I take this opportunity to publicly thank them all most sincerely for their talent and comradery.
It was a blast to play with you all in
The Aztecs
The Executives
and the
GetbacK band!

Back in 1989 GetbacK went into the recording studio.
The intention was just to cut a couple of demo's
to be used as a marketing tool.
It was so much fun that we did it again
two years later in 1991.

Before we knew it, we had enough tunes for a small "album". And so, Cover Me! was born.

Back then, things were recorded and mixed down to a  digital audio tape (DAT) 'master' which was then used to make tape cassettes!
(ask your grandfather about those)
Personal Computers were rare and Compact Discs virtually non-existent or prohibitively expensive.

Cover Me was therefore distributed
on a very limited basis, mostly at gigs,
or to prospective clients.
The master sat in a drawer for the last 15-20 years.

We now live in the Internet age
where all things are possible! I have finally had the
DAT contents transferred to CD-ROM!

And thanks to cheap MP3 technology these old tunes
can live again, right here in your computer.

Published to the peoples at last!
